Meet María ÁlvarezConoce a María Álvarez
María founded Conéctate in 2021 to close a gap she had lived herself — the distance between Idaho's Hispanic community and the businesses, services, and opportunities meant to serve it. The daughter of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate, she left a corporate career to build something her community could actually use.
In 2026 that work earned Conéctate a $20,000 American Express Shop Small Grant. She put it into a microphone.
